Yet some more photos of a girl with a hula hoop at sunset.
This time the hula hoop has led lights that change color and what I refer to as sunset should be called night time.
I am not getting tired of hula hoop pictures I think the whole thing is very photogenic, harmonious and simply beautiful to watch and capture.
This time the capture was more difficult than usual ! It was nearly night time and my nikon D4s was already telling me ISO 25600 with a 200mm at 2.8 aperture.
I had to set a manual focus and guess where the correct focus was.
I then shot and added a bit of split toning in Lightroom to even the series.
Next to me was a guy with a D800 and I don’t know what lens (a zoom that couldn’t have opened more than f2.8) trying to shoot the scene from another angle.
It reminded me of the poorly lit wedding shots I had to make with the same camera, even with prime lenses and I felt very lucky.
I realize how much this camera has allowed me to shoot scenes I wouldn’t even have bothered getting a camera out before.
So hopefully, our path will meet more amazing hula hoop artists because that is what they are ! I admire the work and energy behind this beautiful art.
I have tried a few times in my life to get the damn thing circle around my hips and aside from making a fool out of myself I never succeeded much (even if once the Nintendo Wii had led me to think otherwise).
