PEOPLE KINDNESS WELCOME BACK

CAMBODIA by KRISS on 11 february 2017

We flew back to Siem Reap and our plane was delayed by an hour.
It isn’t the wait that bothered me but that we would spend one hour less in Siem Reap.
In fact, we hadn’t imagine we would have to pay visas to enter Cambodia again and we presented ourselves to customs directly with a valid stamp on our passports.
But no, we were explained in the following way : “You go, you pay, you come, you pay ahaha” that we had to pay again.
So we did and we queued and we queued again and finally we were out of the airport but only for one day and I deeply regret I couldn’t extend our stay.

Another tuk tuk was waiting for us, equally welcoming and nice but this one didn’t have bmw painted wheels.
Anyways, he took us back to the Villa Indochine d’Angkor I can only highly recommend and I think we weren’t prepared for such a welcome.
All the afternoon staff was waiting for us, and Rose ran into their welcoming arms (thank you Lykka and Sok and everyone else).
Then we had a chat and moved the bags to our rooms : this is what we arrived to and I know this is just the regular standard here but it made me feel so good, it all made us feel so good.
We were already feeling back home without it, but with it even more.

Quite difficult to picture we have to leave the place tomorrow, this cannot be the end of the story with Cambodia…
