SOME INDIAN SUMMER SUNSETS

PREVIOUS / NEXT

PHOTOGRAPHY by KRISS on 20 october 2017

Indian summer is something that absolutely doesn’t apply to the south of Spain but neither does Autumn.
We should call it late summer.
Anyways, September and October are undoubtedly the 2 months that bring the most amazing sunrises and sunsets on the Costa del Sol.

If I’m sleeping for the formers I have had the chance to witness a few of the laters and so I’m sharing them with you today !

This allows me to make a brief comparison of camera abilities in that sense, both for photos and videos.
I’m reviewing the abilities in A mode with auto ISO.

- GoPro Hero 5 : only tested video and it’s meh.
Highlights are blown and it ruins most of the beauty of sunsets.

- Fuji XT1 : the best of all when it comes to video, vivid colours, absolutely incredible crisp.
Strangely enough I don’t feel the same when it comes to still photographs.

- Nikon D800 : Meh JPEGS if you live in Auto, the highlights are blown but the RAWS are easily editable to recover.
Still the photos don’t come out great straight out of the camera.
OK video

- Nikon D4s : Excellent photo stills.
Very balanced shots straight out of the camera, jpegs or raw, doesn’t make much difference.
Excellent video.
