COLOUR TONING AND RULE OF 3 FOR INSTAGRAM

PREVIOUS / NEXT

PHOTOGRAPHY by KRISS on 28 april 2017

Have you got an Instagram account and do you post one picture after another with no particular order in doing so ? Well, so was I and then discovered by checking other Instagram profiles that some people had incredibly well made feeds that made sense at a glance.
And the way they achieved this was often one or a mix of the 3 following rules :

1) You have a color toning that applies to all that you publish and so all your feed looks like a photo album.

2) You post your photographs following a 3 photographs pattern; indeed Instagram presents a 3 columns grid for your feed so you can take advantage of that feature.
3) You post puzzles of large images cut in 3, 6, 9, or 12 pieces.
If you’re really really good, you might even manage to create images that look good on their own in each every piece of your puzzles.
I haven’t tried yet.

The following next 3 photographs are part of one line of my feed on Instagram lately, because they kind of make sense together even if I didn’t shoot them consecutively during the photoshoot.
