ANIMALS by KRISS on 10 february 2017

Captivity was the very word used by my grandfather to describe the time he spent away from his wife and yet unborn child as a military prisoner during world war II.
It didn’t seem fun.

Somehow I have never liked that word and can’t stand captive animals.
Now I know we humans have crapped on this world so much many species would be extinct if it wasn’t for zoos but the more I grow the less I can stand zoos.
It gives me the creeps and a pinch in the stomach, pretty much like shoe box bird cages hanging out of people’s windows in Spain.

But we did visit the safari park in Phu Quoc and although it is new and clean and big, I just wanted to get out of there.
I however can report on the bus Safari that is supposed to give visitors the impression they are watching animals in the wild.

I can’t deny cages are a lot larger, a bus can drive through, still these are cages and designed so that visitors won’t miss the expected species.

One of those species really gave me the blues and that was the Bengale tiger.
These animals reign over one of the largest territory any big lion does.
There, they were a bunch of them very close to the gate of their cage, napping on the road.
Anywhere they go, they are always very close to the road anyways.
A couple of them were resting and the bus stopped very close so that tourists could admire them.
The male stood up, he he could have killed every single human life on that bus, mine included for disturbing his nap once again.
There is a bus every 10 minutes.

I shot what made sense to me at that time.
The species on the other side of the bus.
