TAMING YOUR WANDERLUST

TAMING YOUR WANDERLUST I believe Men are adaptable creatures and the world we live in is a good proof of that.
Men can adapt to the filthiest and cruelest conditions of life and also adapt to flamboyant obscene comfort.
There seems to be things that we adapt to with more ease though, such as warmth rather than cold (although that depends).

For Kate and me right now, adapting to nomadic life is actually very easy and enjoyable.
Meeting new people, new places, new landscapes is becoming vital but this is not necessarily the case for our progeny ! Yes the kids have altogether ask us to stay in Spain for the time being and if we have decided to comply with their needs, our wanderlust is haunting us and our thoughts are already with the next adventures.

I keep reviewing the list of places we established when we were in Florida and most of this planet is appealing to me, a lot ! Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Andalusia and we are very happy with the settlement we have managed to achieve under a couple of months here but staying in that one place on a long term basis simply isn’t for us and I can’t wait to be on the move again, even if I understand the reasons why this is not entirely shared by my children.

Here, they get to bound with friends, teachers, shop owners, places etc… When we move, the family core is well, a core, but the elements gravitating around seem further, more distant.
I think our primary solution to spend about one trimester a year shooting weddings and other stuff overseas is the best we can come up with for now but at some point, longer settlements to fully explore the countries we like best appear like a more satisfying solution.
We are working on it, at least mentally, the preparation of next season shootings and the shop is time consuming enough.

The one thing I get to discover through this life adventure I thanks heaven for every day is that I share a tiger with my wife which is difficult to tame and that it’s called wanderlust !
