STUDIO PHOTO WORK

PREVIOUS / NEXT

PHOTOGRAPHY by KRISS on 13 september 2015

This is a very very broad topic and we personally tried out many different types of shooting in a studio.

From milk dresses to standard modeling, clothes, no clothes.
But basically it all breaks down to the same principle : One background, be it white, black, yellow or blue, light and a camera.

The standard way our studio used to be set when we didn't know what to expect was this :

-Nikon D800E + Sigma 35mm f1.4 ART and elinchrom trigger. -Nikon D800 + Sigma 85mm f1.4 and Cactus V5 trigger. -Elinchrom BRX500 with soft boxes (placed according to one of our usual light schemas.
-Other 250w studio flash with enormous soft box placed above the camera to even the light, with Cactus V5 trigger/receiver. -180w Torch above the background if needed. -2 flashlights sometimes with gels, placed accordingly.

So how does it work ? If you shoot the D800E, the flash will then trigger all the remaining flashes.
If you shoot the D800, the flash of the 250w will trigger all the rest.

Also we always tethered one of the 2 cameras with a 5m orange USB3 cable to a computer (a laptop if working someplace else).
