EASY ECONOMIC SNACKS FOR THE PLANE

PREVIOUS / NEXT

EASY ECONOMIC SNACKS FOR THE PLANE On long flights you may be served with a full meal, most of the time a couple when the flight exceeds 8 hours but still, between the possible connections, and the waiting time at the gates, and all the tempting easy sweet foods at the airport at excessive prices, your best option is to plan ahead.
You and your children will be craving for food all along the journey and you should better satisfy them.

We went to our local grocery store and filled 1 zip lock bag each with :

- Nuts of all sorts.
- Dried fruits (apricots, dates, figues etc…).
— Seeds of all sorts.
That’s it !

Why didn’t we include biscuits, or other candy bars ? Well, to be honest besides them not being good as proper nourishment which leads quickly to craving for more food, they are absolutely not practical and the excess in sugar will have you kids extra excited on the planes which is exactly what you don’t want.
Biscuits will break and get lost in a bag and then you will have crumbles of them everywhere.
Chocolate will melt, stain and at the end you’ll have to deal with all the problems linked to food.

A simple zip lock bag full of good healthy foods will get you and your kids going through a couple of days of traveling without much of a worry.
Promised !
